A writer who worked as one of the staging officers at the Coke County Courthouse during the finals days of last year's Wildcat Fire will be the featured speaker this week at the San Angelo Chapter of the Desk and Derrick Club. Russell Smith's presentation, "Behind the Wildcat Fire," will educate the audience about the challenges behind such a large firefighting effort. The event is scheduled for 11:30 AM on Wednesday at Bentwood Country Club. Guests are welcome to attend for 14 dollars.
