The American Diabetes Association Alert Day is next Tuesday. For 24 years, the association has set aside one special day for people to learn if they are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. In coordination with Diabetes Alert Day, Shannon Medical Center will offer free blood glucose screenings on Tuesday at H-E-B from 9 to 11 a.m. and at Zentner's Daughter Steakhouse from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit diabetes-dot-org.
