Trial beginning in the case against former FLDS Church President Wendell Nielsen in Midland. The proceedings were moved there from Tom Green and Schleicher Counties after attorneys became concerned that the pool of potential jurors in both locations had been nearly exhausted by earlier trials, including those against former church leader Warren Jeffs, who's now in prison. Nielsen is charged with three counts of bigamy. Court documents show that Nielsen may have been connected with up to thirty-four women in addition to his legal wife.
