In a year of disputed Texas election maps, San Angelo's revised voting district map has been approved. The U-S Department of Justice giving the green light to the map that will be used for the city's municipal elections on May 12th. In San Angelo's case, only minor changes were needed in order to conform to changes revealed by the 2010 Census. In all,m only six single-member districts required changes and all were approved by D-O-J inspectors. Only three seats are up for election in May: Police Chief and two single-member district seats.
