An investigation by the City of San Angelo Fire Marshal’s office found that a three-alarm blaze that leveled a downtown apartment building Monday afternoon was accidental. No charges will be filed in the case. Fire Marshal Ross Coleman found that fumes from a bug bomb set off by one of the Scott Apartments’ 13 occupants were ignited by thehousing unit’s gas stove. After a thorough investigation, Coleman ruled the cause of the fire to be accidental.
