Pope react

Pope Francis is celebrated his first Mass today as leader of the world's one-point-two-billion Roman Catholics. The newly-elected pontiff conducted the service inside the Sistine Chapel with the cardinals who elected him Pope Wednesday. The leader of the San Angelo Catholic Diocese, Bishop Michael Pfeiffer says the selection of Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina is important because 40 percent of the world's Catholic population is from Latin America. Pfeiffer says taking the name of St. Francis indicates the new pope will show great concern for the world's poor and the needy.
