City Police were led on a short vehicle chase that began in the 23 hundred block of North Bryant for a traffic violation early Saturday. The Officer tried to stop a Pickup for driving with no headlights. The vehicle chase ended when the driver stopped and tried to flee on foot in the 19 hundred block of North Poe, running into an open field. He was later caught with the help of a Police K9. The driver was identified as 38 year old Manuel Torres and he was charged with Evading in a Vehicle, and on Foot, Invalid license and City warrants. The passenger, 37 tear old Francisco Ibarra was charged with an outstanding County Warrant.
