Traffic stop and drug bust

A traffic stop turned into a drug bust in San Angelo. Friday night, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of Wright Street. for a traffic violation. The driver, 64-year-old Pedro Quiroz, was allegedly discovered to be in possession of a substance that field tested positive for Heroin and approximately 12-hundred dollars in cash. A K-9 unit turned up more heroin and more than eight-thousand dollars in cash. Quiroz was arrested on a felony drug charge. His passenger, 45-year-old Edward Renovato was found to have outstanding arrest warrants and he was taken into custody without incident.
