Traffic death anniversary

Wednesday marked a somber anniversary in Texas. November 7th, 2000--12 years ago--was the last day in the state without a single traffic fatality. Since that date, at least one person has died every single day on a Texas highway or roadway, bringing the total to 41-thousand-252 fatalities. Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw urges Texans to drive responsibly, eliminate distractions, adhere to the posted traffic signs and ensuring everyone in their vehicle is buckled up.
