On Monday morning, San Angelo Police located a stolen vehicle in the backyard of a residence in the 500 block of West 17th Street. Officers were led to the area through information they received from the vehicle’s OnStar GPS. The vehicle, which was being concealed by a cover, had been reported stolen from a residence in the Brown Street area earlier that morning. As police removed the cover, they located a 15-year-old female and an 18-year-old male identified as Michael Contreras of San Angelo. Contreras was arrested, the girl was released to a family member and the vehicle was released to its owner.
