Water adjustment

The City of San Angelo is adjusting the chemicals it uses to disinfect drinking water after receiving a notice that the level of trihalomethanes, or THMs, an organic compound, exceeded EPA standards. The City is reducing the THMs with the additive sodium hydroxide during the treatment process and is informing customers of the development in their November statements. The notices state that customers do not need to use an alternative water source.
