Fort Concho will be open during the Veterans Day weekend. Prior to its involvement in a downtown Veterans Day parade on Saturday, the Fort Concho Cavalry will gather at around 8:30 AM at the Medal of Honor recipients area next to the Headquarters Building. A trooper will read the poem "Fiddler's Green," a canteen of water will be poured over each site, the name of each Medal of Honor recipient will be read, and a trooper will place an American flag at the stone, step back and salute.
