More Job Cuts At Goodfellow

Looks like more jobs could be on the chopping block at Goodfellow Air Force Base. A proposal by the Air Force to reduce spending is calling for the elimination of 39 active-duty and 67 civilian jobs at Goodfellow by the end of fiscal year 2013. It also recommends reduction of 108 military and civilian Air National Guard positions. When the cuts are complete, Goodfellow will have nearly sixteen hundred active-duty military and civilian employees and only one from the Air Guard. Officials day the cuts are across the entire 17th Training Wing and base and not limited to any one area.
