At least sporting events canceled by the rain and more rain is falling. The Concho Belle Relays scheduled for today at San Angelo Stadium: washed out. Ditto the San Angelo Boys Golf Classic that was set for today and tomorrow and three city courses. The National Weather Service says the Concho Valley could receive nearly an inch of rain by late tonight because of rainfall yesterday and today. Nearly seven-tenths of an inch had been measured through last night with more coming. To put that in perspective, the usual rainfall for the entire month of March in the San Angelo area is an inch and a half. As we reported earlier this week, the Concho Valley received over six-and-a-half inches of rain in January and February.
