A San Angelo woman was killed in a crash in Sutton County Sunday. The Texas Department of Public Safety says it happened following a blowout eight miles south of Sonora on U.S. Highway 277. The driver, 76-year-old Maria Elena Sosa, lost control of the vehicle and it eventually overturned. Sosa died at the scene. The DPS says she was not wearing a seatbelt. A passenger who was wearing her seatbelt was injured and taken to a hospital in Sonora.
