Bronte ISD bomb threat

A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of some 250 students in the Bronte Independent School District. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, an unknown person called the school around 9:30 Monday morning and claimed there was a bomb at the school. The students were taken to a local community center to be picked up by parents or bused home. A K-9 unit from Goodfellow Air Force Base was sent in to search the school and the buildings were cleared at around 2:15 in the afternoon. Bronte ISD superintendent Alan Richey says school will be back in session this morning.
