Flags on military graves

The annual tradition of placing American flags on the graves of the approximately 14-hundred veterans interred at Fairmount Cemetery will take place Sunday at 2 PM. The public is invited to assist in the effort at the City-run cemetery at 1120 West Avenue N. Following a short ceremony, volunteers – including Boy Scouts and members of the Civil Air Patrol – will place a flag on each grave that has a military service marker.
