San Angelo police responded Tuesday morning to the 1000 block of Roosevelt near Buchanan where an 11-year-old girl had been struck by a car as she crossed the street to get to a school bus. Officers say the driver was traveling west on Roosevelt when the girl failed to yield the right of way crossing the street in front of the vehicle and causing the collision. The child received non-incapacitating injuries and was transported to Shannon Medical Center. The 32-year-old female driver and her two child passengers were not injured.
