Lots of public demonstrations in Austin, today. This morning, Catholic bishops and other members of the Church rallied on the South Steps of the Capital for Catholic Faith in Action Advocacy Day. At 11, a group gathered to show support for the budget proposal on the north steps. And for this afternoon, more than fourty busses with over five thousand people converged at Waterloo Park for the Save Our State march and rally. They want lawmakers to make education and health care a priority and use money from the Rainy Day Fund to cover spending.
