A two-vehicle crash in Tom Green County on Friday morning left a mother and daughter injured. The Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Kayla Annell Munoz of Sterling City was southbound on US 87 north of Water Valley when she looked in the back seat at her daughter and drove her Mazda SUV into the rear of a Ford pickup. The driver of that vehicle, 86-year-old Carl Thomas Duncan of San Angelo, drove off the west side of 87. Munoz wound up in the median. She and her five-year-old daughter were transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries. Munoz was cited for failure to control speed.
