Orphan train

At one time, 200-thousand children from New York were given away across the United States; they were put on trains and many wound up in Texas. You can learn about this little-known piece of state and U.S. history on next month at the Stephens Central Library. "Riders on the Orphan Train" is told through film, music and readings and is for all ages. There is no cost to attend the program, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5th at 6 PM at the Stephens Central Library.
