Early Sunday morning, San Angelo Police responded to a single-vehicle traffic crash near North Chadbourne and 30th Street. They found a heavily damaged 2006 Dodge Ram Truck occupied by two people. The 29-year-old male driver and 26-year-old female passenger were transported to Shannon Medical Center. Investigators say the truck was northbound on Chadbourne when the driver lost control of the truck and collided with a telephone pole, causing the pole to shear in half. Officers found containers of alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle and detected the odor of alcohol from from the driver. Charges may be filed later.
