Walmart TV theft stopped

Last Saturday, an off-duty San Angelo police officer shopping at the Walmart located on Sherwood Way saw a male subject he recognized to be a person of interest in several recent thefts. He notified Walmart loss prevention staff who began surveillance of the man. Eventually, he was seen leaving the store with a flat screen television without paying for it. He was detained by the officer and loss prevention personnel until uniformed officers arrived. 30-year-old Rhea E. Brown of San Angelo has since been identified as a suspect in the recent thefts of five other TVs from Walmart.
