The San Angelo Police Department has announced that the city ranks in the top one-third of the safest U.S. cities with a population of 75-thousand or more. According to the CQ Press’s 2013 release of City Crime Rankings, San Angelo ranks as the 124th safest city in the nation. In Texas, San Angelo ranks 16th among cities with a population of 75-thousand to 300-thousand.
