Afternoon sports headlines

The Colts swept a doubleheader from Rio Grande Valley at Harlingen last night, 2 to 1 and 3 to 1. They finally squeezed the games in after rain delays and postponements. This moved the Colts into a tie with the White Wings for first place in the South Division of the North American League. The Colts are back home tonight, again facing the White Wings. Game time is 7:05.

The Rangers and Astros were both off last night. The Rangers have a weekend series with the Mets at home, and the Astros are home against the Rays.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban promised that he would pay for the parade celebrating the team's NBA Championship--and the city of Dallas has totaled up the bill: 341-thousand dollars.

Fans who were in Dallas for the Super Bowl in February and didn't get seats because they were deemed unsafe at the last minute, are suing. Court documents filed this week seek lost income on top of other expenses they incurred.
