Afternoon sports headlines

The Colts got a 5 to 4 victory over McAllen last night, and that puts San Angelo on a roll. The team has won three in a row and eight out of their last 10 and now leads the North American League South Division by three games over Rio Grande Valley, which lost last night. The Colts and Thunder play the second of their four-game series in San Angelo tonight--game time 7:05.

The Lone Star Series between the Rangers and Astros continued last night in Houston, with the Rangers taking another one. Ian Kinsler's two solo home runs helped in a 3-2 win. The two teams play again tonight to wrap up the series. The Rangers have already won the coveted Silver Boot. The Astros have lost their last five and 19 of their last 24.

The Angelo State Athletic Department has announced the ticket office will sell a general admission family pass and a general admission individual pass that would allow access to all ASU athletic events. Active duty military members and their dependents get free admission to athletic events.
