Wildfires Reported NW of San Angelo and in Christoval

Fire crews are on the scene of a wildfire that started about midnight in Christoval. Residents near the blaze, in the 2400 block of Toe Nail Trail were informed that they might need to evacuate. It started by the side of the road, near the Schleicher County line, and the winds blew the smoke into San Angelo, this morning.
The Texas Forest Service says lightning caused a wildfire that started about 34 miles northwest of San Angelo, around 8:30, last night. It’s been contained, as well.
