The San Angelo airport was on alert, for a time, yesterday. A private pilot had an oil pressure light come on in his plane and was directed to Mathis Field. He was 15 miles out, when he called in the alert about 11:30 am. It was a Gulfstream 1 with the pilot and one passenger aboard. Airport officials say it was an Alert 2, which is precautionary.
