Warehouse Fire Downtown Causes Thousands of Dollars in Damages

A building that used to be a Coca-cola bottling plant and warehouse caught fire, yesterday at First Street and North Chadbourne Avenue. Traffic had to be redirected, and the scene drew quite a crowd. Battalion Chief Royce Owen says faulty electrical wiring started the blaze. He did not think anyone was inside when the fire began. Damage is estimated at about 5-thousand dollars.
