Latest on Area Wildfires from Texas Forest Service

Fire crews can use some rain in Coke and Nolan Counties, where the White Hat wildfire continues to burn. The Texas Forest Service reports 42-thousand acres have burned. It’s 30 percent contained. They’re dropping water and chemicals with heavy airtankers, four miles south of Maryneal, and there have been some voluntary evacuations in the area.
The Wilson Ranch fire is now 95 percent contained. 42-hundred acres burned, north of Grape Creek.
