The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association appeared before Congress to discuss the toll of the Texas wildfires, yesterday. Joe Parker, Junior asked the Administration to issue a Major Disaster Declaration for the state of Texas to help bring additional assistance to firefighters. He also wants the age requirement removed for ranchers to be eligible for the USDA’s fence rebuilding cost share assistance, in case of natural disaster.
