Amazon.com Offering Texas a Deal

Texas Comptroller Susan Combs has been campaigning for lawmakers to pass a measure that would for online retailers, like Amazon.com, to pay sales tax to the state. Reports out of Austin say the company is negotiating a deal with Texas officials that would give Amazon a four and a half year exemption on from sales tax, and in return, the company would create more than 5000 jobs and invest 300 million dollars in the state over the next three years.
