State Senate Passes Two Bills Dealing with Education

State Senators passed two education bills, yesterday. One would improve access to electronic courses for public school students and streamline the process of getting the classes approved by the state. The other allows charter schools that are deemed “financially strong” to have the backing of the Permanent School Fund, when they’re trying to issue bonds to pay for new classrooms and facilities. Both measures are on to the House.
