Trinidad Aguirre Jr. has filed his candidacy to fill an unexpired one-year term in the Single-Member District 1 seat on the San Angelo City Council in the May 11th election. Full two-year terms in the mayor’s seat and Single-Member Districts 2, 4 and 6 are up for election. The vacancy in SMD 1 was created when incumbent City Councilmember Paul Alexander filed his candidacy for mayor. The final day to file at the City Clerk's office for a place on the ballot is March 1st.
