Colts win another doubleheader, move streak to six

For the second time in three days, the San Angelo Colts swept the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings in a doubleheader. The Colts took two from the WhiteWings las tnight at Foster Field to win the first five games of their final homestand of the season, as well as extend their overall winning streak to six. In Game One, the Colts scored four runs in the third inning and hung on for a four to two victory. In Game Two, they scored six runs in the fifth inning and defeated the WhiteWings seven to two. The teams play a single game tonight at seven-oh-five.

Yu Darvish struck out fourteen hitters last night in Arlington as the Texas Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks seven to one. The Rangers tonight begin a three-game series in Oakland with the Athletics at nine-oh-five. The A's lead the Rangers by three and a half games for first place in the American League West.

Former Houston Astros pitcher Bud Norris beat his old team last night. He pitched six crisp innings to lead the Orioles over the Astros in Baltimore six to three. The Astros tonight visit the Minnesota Twins at seven-ten.
