Tom Green County Commissioners approved a permit for Western Towers to begin building a new manufacturing plant near Harriet. The owners of Western Towers say they already have four years worth of orders for a tilting tower they make for the railroad industry. They already broke ground for the project and hope to be up and running with 10-15 new employees in the fall. They’re committed to hiring wounded war veterans for one fifth of the workforce.
