And, as the budget process continues, Governor Rick Perry is asking members of the House Republican Caucus leave the nine point four million dollars in the state’s Rainy Day Fund. Last week, the State Comptroller testified that budget shortfalls will likely force the State to tap into the money. But, Governor Perry asked Caucus members to find other ways to cover the budget.
