Afternoon sports headlines

The Wall softball team is in the regional semifinals for the first time and they play Colorado City tonight in Snyder in game one. It's a best of three game series.

The Wall baseball team is also in Snyder and the Hawks play Hawley in the regional quarterfinals. That's also game one of a best of three game series.

The Miles baseball team plays Fort Hancock in the regional quarterfinals in Crane tonight. Game two and game three if necessary will be in Midland tomorrow.

The Oklahoma City Thunder evened the series with the Dallas Mavericks last night, 1-1. The series continues Sunday night in Oklahoma City.

The Rangers gave up the tying run in the bottom of the 9th and the winning run in the bottom of the 10th last night and lost 2-1 to the Royals. The Rangers continue the road trip tonight in Philly, with former Ranger Cliff Lee on the mound for Philadelphia. The Astros will try to snap a five game losing streak against the Blue Jays in interleague play.
