Afternoon sports headlines

The San Angelo Colts will try again, hoping to right the ship. They lost their third game in a row last night, dropping a 4 to 2 decision at Edinburg. The Colts' runs came on back to back homers in the seventh inning by Landon Camp and Mark Ramos. San Angelo is now one and five on the season and continues the series against the Roadrunners tonight.

The Astros are at the Cubs again tonight after a Memorial Day win there yesterday. The Rangers won big over the Rays last night and play again tonight. It's an early start, 5:40 Central.

The NBA Finals get underway with Game One tonight in Miami; the Heat hosting the Dallas Maverics at 8 o'clock on ESPN. On a side note, American Airlines has their name on both arenas.

It's not official yet, but sources close to the situation say the Houston Rockets have hired Kevin McHale to be their new head coach. McHale starred for 15 seasons with the Boston Celtics and later served as general manager and then coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
