Tom Green County is making an exception to the disaster declaration that prohibits outdoor burning. Today, County Commissioners heard from a number of citizens that churches planning cookouts and catering companies are being hurt. So, commissioners agreed to allow the use of propane ‘and other cooking apparatuses’ under the supervision of any volunteer fire department.
Otherwise, the burning prohibition remains in effect until there is no more wildfire danger. Fireworks are banned until May 14.
