Four students from Veribest High School are competing at the University Interscholastic League’s State Spring Academic Meet, this week. They’re all members of the social studies team. Javier Carmona, Lesley Oliver, Ariana Hernandez and Jaimie Oliver are at Abilene Christian University for the regional contest. Ariana Hernandez will also compete individually. Water Valley High School also has two students who advanced to the region, Rebecca Sussdorf in prose interpretation and Jennifer Lisson in spelling and vocabulary.
