Area baseball teams heat up

The ASU baseball team is in Warrensburg, Missouri today getting ready to take on Southern Arkansas in the first round of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional tournament. A February loss to Southern Arkansas was the worst of the season for the Rams - blanked 7-0 - so the Rams look to balance that with a win tonight at 7. It's a double elimination tournament.

The Miles Bulldogs are back in the regional quarterfinals. That's the 5th time in six years and they'll take on New Deal this weekend. Junior Hayden Ray will pitch in game 1, but the Bulldogs have six pitchers ready in the bullpen.

The Wall Hawks baseball team is 21-3 on the season and hasn't dropped a district game in two months. Wall takes on Blanco in a best-of-three games regional quarterfinal series today and Saturday in Llano. Game 1 is tonight at 6:30, game 2 is at 1pm Saturday, and game 3 would follow that one if it's necessary.
