San Angelo Mayor Alvin New is one of eight members of a search committee that will help find the next president of Angelo State University. The panel, named Tuesday by Texas Tech University System Chancellor Kent Hance, is chaired by Board of Regents vice-chairman Mickey Long. Current ASU president Joseph Rallo will stay on until a replacement is named, and then move on to his new job as vice chancellor of academic affairs at the Texas Tech University System.
