The traditional Memorial Day Exercises presented by The Daughters of the American Revolution and Fort Concho get underway at 9:00 this morning. They'll take place on the Parade Ground in front of the Headquarters Building. The flag detail and artillery salute will be pperformec by the Fort Concho Living History Program and the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. The Harmony Belles will provide patriotic music and the guest speaker will be Bobby Knight, a veteran of the United States Army and Navy. At the conclusion of the exercises, there will be a reception. Fort Concho will stay open for self-guided tours until 5 PM.
