Primary election day

Today's Texas Republican presidential primary should wrap up the GOP nomination for Mitt Romney. Texas has 155 delegates at stake and Romney needs less than half of those to give him the eleven-hundred-44 required for nomination at the convention in Tampa. In Tom Green County, the ballot includes a race for sheriff. Seeking the Republican nomination are David Faison, David Jones, Steve Mild and Keith Muncey. The winner faces Democrat Walter Bryant and Libertarian David Benton in November.
