Hickory water treatment

San Angelo City Council decided Tuesday between two ways to rid water coming from the Hickory Aquifer of naturally occuring radioactivity. Council members chose the ion exchange process, which they felt would save money and water over the long run and provide for easier disposal of particles. The other option was a process called reverse osmosis. The pipeline should be finished and delivering water to San Angelo by the end of 2014.
