San Angelo police report a local senior got a call from someone claiming to be her grandson. The person said they were in Canada and had been arrested and needed money wired to be released. They then gave the phone to someone claiming to be a Canadian police officer who had details on the money transfer but would not provide a contact number. This is a scam. Police urge you to inform elderly friends or family members about it, because the criminals are good a playing on emotions.
