U.S. Senator John Cornyn announced Wednesday that the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department will receive a grant from Homeland Security of more than 45-thousand dollars to support firefighters and their work as first responders. The funding will be used for training and support operations, and to purchase firefighter safety and rescue equipment.
