Two departments at Shannon Medical Center have been recognized by respected national organizations. Shannon's Laboratory received national accreditation from the the College of American Pathologists based on the results of an onsite inspection. And all of Shannon's Communication Specialists on staff have completed coursework and training to reach Certified Flight Communicator status. The specialists coordinate the logistics of AirMed1 transport, assuring prompt response to traumatic and medical emergencies.
