If you rent a storage unit, San Angelo police are advising you to take precautions. Several of the units in the southwest part of the city have been burglarized recently and, according to police, the burglars only broke into units with lower quality locks. That's why they say you should invest in high security locks. Also, photograph the possessions in your unit and record the serial numbers on electronics to help police track down stolen items.
